Hany is the founder of Central Choice and has extensive business and real estate experience.
In 2001, he co-founded the Footscray Tuition Centre, which today continues to be a successful family-run business. This tuition centre was built to over 500 students and 20 tutors when Hany left in 2006.
From 2006 – 2008, Hany held a national project management position at Spotlight, one of the largest retailers and private land-owners in the Asia-Pacific region, where he was responsible for project managing the construction of all new Spotlight, Anaconda and RSEA stores, refurbishing existing stores, and managing the construction and fitout of entire bulky goods shopping centres throughout Australia. He was involved in all aspects of the development, and took a particular interest in the development feasibility and commercial finance aspects.
Hany bought his first investment property in 2004, aged 20. Having built a substantial property investment portfolio comprising both residential and commercial properties across Victoria, he established Central Choice in 2008, with a view to impart his knowledge and experience in building investment property portfolios with his clients.
It is this passion for both education and real estate that causes Hany to be such an effective mortgage broker, and he strongly believes that one cannot be an effective mortgage broker if they have not yet achieved their own success in property investment.
Hany is primarily responsible for the continued and rapid growth of Central Choice. In 2009, Hany achieved national recognition for his service by winning 2 awards at the Australian Mortgage Awards in Sydney. The awards included the Australian Young Gun of the Year, and the highly prestigious Commonwealth Bank Australian Rookie of the Year. In addition to this, Central Choice was also nominated for a third category as the “Best New Office on the Block”.
In 2010, after a period of rapid growth, Central Choice was nominated for 2 more industry awards, including "Brokerage of the Year > 6 staff." These awards are the highlight of the industry calendar and recognise a commitment to excellence and customer service.
On weekends, Hany runs training seminars to classes of mortgage brokers who are new to the mortgage broking industry, in order to improve the quality of advice given to Australian consumers. Despite his busy schedule, Hany remains accessible to all of his clients, past and present.
Hany is a tertiary qualified graduate from the University of Melbourne and currently holds a double degree Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Property and Construction. He is also a professional speaker on topics such as business, motivation, leadership, property investment and finance, and he is fluent in both English and Vietnamese.
